What is a List?
Lists are a great way to keep track of and categorize Profiles that you like. A list can be private or you can share your list by making it public.
Creating a List
To create a List log in to FYItag.com with your user name and password. A menu bar will appear towards the top of the page that gives the choice of Profile, Support, Widget, and Lists. Click on “Lists” To create a new list select “Add List” on the right hand of the “My Lists” window. Create a name for the List. For example, if you want to create a list of your favorite restaurants you may call your list “Great Boston Restaurants”. Once you have picked a name, click on “Save List”. The list will be added to your “My Lists” area.
Making a List Private or Public
Your list can be made private by checking the lock icon next to the name. If the lock is selected, it can only be viewed by you. To share your list on your profile, make sure the lock is not checked. A list that is not locked will show up on your profile.
Renaming a List
To rename your list, click on the paper and pencil icon next to the name. Create a new name and click on “Save List”. The contents of your list will stay intact even if you rename it.
Deleting a List
To delete a list, Click on the “X” icon next to the name of the list. Just to make sure it is something you want to do. We will ask you to confirm the deletion. If you don’t want to delete the list, click “Cancel." If you want to permanently delete the list click “OK”.
Adding Profiles to your list:
There are two ways to add people and sites to a list. If they have a profile on our site then every profile on FYItag has an “Add to List” button to the right of the Profile. When you find a profile you would like to add to a list, simply click the “Add to List” button. A new window will be presented to you that allows you to associate the profile with one of your existing lists or to create a new List. The selected profile will now appear in the selected List.
If you want to add a person or a site to a list and they do NOT have a profile on our site then go to lists and next to the list you will see a paperclip icon. Click that and add the URL to their twitter page, LinkedIn profile or any other site you want to list and share. Then send them an email and ask them to sign up on FYItag.com
