We really do want you to sign up, so why did we make it so hard?  When you stuff everything you think is important into the signup process you end up with a process that takes too long, has too many options, and causes too much confusion. The end result is too few people making it all the way through to the end. Since we really do want you to sign up it became something we had to fix!

We just launched a new signup process that is streamlined, simple, automated in places, and building it was a lot harder than we thought it would be. First of all thanks to everyone who gave us feedback, knowing where you were having trouble helped us focus in on what to fix. We want to continue to hear from you, and that is why we have built a feedback form right into the software itself. From a technical point of view we focused on the parts of the process where we saw the same mistakes over and over again, and where we saw people bail out of the process regularly. That was the first step; the next step was to figure out what people expected, what we needed, and how to balance it all out with fewer steps.

One area where we kept seeing issues was with social media accounts. We kept seeing the same issues over and over again so we have now automated that process. Link your social media accounts to your profile and we will automatically extract the page names and other information so you can see how it looks on your profile, and at the same time we get everything ready for you to use in the software. Many fewer steps, and fewer errors. We changed the order of what we ask for so you can be up and running with the software in 3 easy steps. That’s it, 3 steps and you are ready to publish, monitor, and schedule your social media conversations.

Ease of use and customer feedback are two keys to how we want to build our product and company, so keep the feedback coming and we’ll keep trying to make it easier and easier to use.
